5 Really Nice Things for Under £50
Some affordable bits'n'bobs to bring some End of Month/Summer cheer.
August always feels a bit like a Sunday to me. It’s the end of summer, the bank account is looking bare to say the least and 10 years on I’m still semi-convinced I might be about to go back to school. Here are 5 nice little treats under £50 to spark a bit of joy - they won’t break the bank and aren’t horrifically over consumerist…
I really like this lamp, this is a nice lamp. At £28.95 it’s rude not to to be honest.
A couple of months ago, I had a really hungover breakfast at Wild on Westbourne Grove, and became hyper fixated on these glasses (picture above). I truly cannot describe the drinking experience, it was that perfect - I have not stopped thinking about them. Anyway, I have finally managed to track them down because I took a naff photo of my brekkie and I realised the other day that there was a REFLECTION OF THE BRAND IN MY WATER GLASS - hallelujah. I’m insane. Anyway, thank me later because they’re stunning and incredibly reasonable.
It’s technically £52, but it’s really rather a nice little butter dish so I have decided to allow it. He does them in lots of different colours but the yellow and blue is a winner for me.
This bath oil solves all of life’s woes.
I am very specific about liking French press coffee. Even the expensive coffee machines I’ve tried somehow produce a drink that tastes like acidic dirt. Alessi is a really iconic italian brand and I love this model, with its funky metallic design and red accents - looks like a little robot. I found it in TK Maxx for half price!! STEAL.
